Travel Notes: Thursday was the annual company health check-up again. Before every check-up, I always feel inexplicably gloomy because I've had a history of fainting from needles—every time I get a shot or blood drawn, I feel unwell for a while and can't focus on anything serious. Speaking of which, on a previous weekend, because my friend Xiao-Yu, who lives far away in Kaohsiung, came up to Taipei for a rare visit and arranged to meet Ah-Fu and Morgan for a meal, Xingjian and I went to the Chunghwa Telecom clubhouse to swim that day, then headed to this Baihuatai near Zhongshan MRT Station to meet up with Xiao-Yu. The dining style here is: order a main course, then you can freely take side dishes from the small buffet bar on the first floor—but only once. The main courses aren't expensive, mostly around 200 NTD. The pure white decor and layout on the second floor give off an elegant vibe.
