Location: Da San Yuan Restaurant, Hengyang Road, Taipei. Travel notes: Good friend Samuel is heading back to the US again tomorrow, so he invited me and Ramen Senior for dinner tonight. He said he wanted Chinese food, so I booked Da San Yuan, which once had a Michelin star, to try it. Some dishes were quite unique, like the 'Bai Hua Nian Gui Ma,' which combines shrimp paste with the aroma of fried youtiao. Other dishes were also pretty good; per person cost tonight was around 1,500. Thanks for the treat, Samuel—have a smooth journey! Taiwan is still so small. Samuel doesn't know many people here, but he happened to run into a friend at the very next table. XD By Morgan @2025.1.7 evening
