Taipei — 333 Gallery (2nd visit) and La Macération 澄心澄意 (2nd visit). In the evening I first stopped by junior schoolmate Maxim’s place to see their new exhibition with Teacher Baiyu—paintings made with mineral stones in various colors, which was quite unusual. Then I had Korean food nearby (豆豆里) with Maxim and Jerry, thanks to Maxim for treating us, and afterwards met Alice, who’s recently returned to wine sales, for drinks at Teacher 聶汎勳’s shop; the new location is much roomier and more comfortable than the old one. We opened a northern Italian Freisa red and tried a little French and Spanish brandy, and later I shared the Italian red with Alice’s old friend Director Weng from Mackay Memorial Hospital, who kindly treated us to a 1976 Amarone.
