Travel Notes: Vienna, Austria, and Schönbrunn Palace. Vienna's City Hall, Parliament, Hofburg Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, State Opera, Golden Hall... From the Holy Roman Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire... until the end of World War I, when the Habsburg dynasty ended its 640-year rule, to the modern Republic of Austria, I felt the traces of various historical events that have occurred on this land. Vienna's night view is indeed quite beautiful and moving; the only downside was the near-zero-degree weather, which was a bit cold. For dinner, we wandered around and casually found a restaurant with a 4.7 Google rating to try Wiener Schnitzel (Viennese schnitzel), paired with a glass of Austrian red wine and a glass of Austrian white wine. The thinly pounded pork cutlet, drizzled with lemon juice, cut open and dipped in cranberry sauce—the meaty aroma blended with sweet and sour flavors—tasted pretty good.
