Location: Usuki Fugu Yamadaya, Marunouchi, Tokyo (Michelin one star)
Travel note: At noon, Andrew and I had fugu cuisine in a small private room on the 35th floor of the Marunouchi Building. The two of us finished a bottle of daiginjo and left the restaurant feeling a little tipsy. It must have been my first time trying fugu sashimi. Wrapping it with fugu skin, chives, and spicy grated radish, then dipping it in the sauce — the texture was chewy and the flavor really nice. Thanks to Andrew for the meal. Afterward, I’ll have a quick soak, then get ready to head out to Narita Airport. Thanks to Yen (my junior) for arranging the business car transfer! By Morgan @2026.7.6
