Travel note: Ranked #4 in Shenzhen online, Fresh House Japanese Cuisine truly uses fresh ingredients and tastes great. We had horse mackerel, tuna, tamagoyaki, tempura, tofu, grilled saury, botan shrimp with sea urchin... then used shrimp heads for soup and fish heads for frying. Out of ten dishes, about 3–4 were truly impressive, making it a memorable Japanese meal. It's right behind the Movie Building where I lived in Shenzhen back in 2007—I haven't been to this area in ages, and seeing how things have changed brought back so many memories!
