Travel Notes Summary: Excluding the indoor hot air balloon I rode at Lotte World in Korea, every time I wanted to ride a hot air balloon in the past, I just missed it. In Cambodia, the weather was bad so I couldn't ride. In Turkey, there wasn't enough time. In Russia, there weren't enough people. Unexpectedly, on my fourth visit to western Yunnan, I finally got to ride one. Standing unsteadily inside the basket under the hot air balloon, slowly ascending, and looking down at the volcanic crater from high above was still a bit thrilling. Besides being an important town on the ancient Tea Horse Road, Tengchong also has dormant volcano groups and sulfur hot spring geothermal areas (5A). This is also the third volcano I've seen in the past two months. But mainly, after so many years, I was finally able to ride a hot air balloon and fulfill a dream. :) By Morgan, 2019.9.28
