Travel Notes: Attended the FinTech Association's 'International Regulatory Trends in Virtual Assets' forum at Grand Hyatt Taipei in the afternoon. Taiwan is small—I met Michael while drinking last night, and coincidentally ran into him again as soon as I entered the venue today, so we took a photo to commemorate it. As a VC, Michael also knows Outliers Venture, so I introduced Poseidon from Outliers at the 1st-floor café. Also met Lawrence Chiang after ten years. Besides Audrey Tang and some officials, the CEOs of Taiwan's three major cryptocurrency exchanges attended as speakers. Saw Titan from Bito speak, and Sihan, whom I met and drank with at Sam's birthday party last time, represented DBS Bank as a speaker. Outside, greeted Bo from Bincentive, Ethan from Matrixport, Ariel from Quanttrend, and exchanged business cards with Mei Hua, chairman of JKO Pay. Also chatted with the chairman of the FinTech Association, former Executive Yuan minister Tsai Yu-ling.
