Location: Guangxi, Guilin, Yangshuo
Travel note summary: Guangxi, Reed Flute Cave (a karst cave). After a morning boat tour of Guilin's One River and Four Lakes, I had no plans for the afternoon. After lunch, I looked up some Guilin attractions and saw Reed Flute Cave, also known as the State Guest Cave for hosting many Chinese and foreign leaders. It seemed worth a visit, so I booked tickets immediately on Tongcheng website and hired a private car to go. Honestly, it was really impressive! Although the ticket wasn't cheap (around 500–600 TWD), walking inside and seeing nature's craftsmanship combined with modern lighting and visual effects truly amazed me, even as someone who's seen many sights. Especially the snow mountain reflection in the Crystal Palace was beautiful—definitely worth the trip! By Morgan on April 12, 2015.
