Travel notes summary: I wasn't very clear about the geographical location near Shantou originally. Today, I used WeChat's ride code to take bus 105 from downtown Shantou, heading east toward Nan'ao Island. Over an hour later, as I stepped onto Nan'ao Bridge, I opened Baidu Maps and realized—Nan'ao, being Guangdong's only island county, is actually right next to the Taiwan Strait, and beyond that is Taiwan. Truly, traveling a thousand miles teaches more than reading ten thousand books. @@ However, seeing the similar bays, waves, and blue skies on Nan'ao Island made me miss the scenery of Sanya on Hainan Island. :p By Morgan @2019.7.6
